Patricia Morreale is a Professor of Computer Science in the College of Natural and Applied Sciences at Kean University. Her research in the design of multimedia systems and networks has developed techniques for error detection and secure processing.  She also conducts research in computer science education, focused on teacher development and student success, and human computer interaction.  With her undergraduate students, she has addressed UI design for mobile service delivery and predictive modeling in support of personalization.  She received Kean University's 2013 Faculty Research Mentor award for her work with undergraduate research students and Council on Undergraduate Research 2016 Faculty Mentoring award in the Math and Computer Science Division.

She holds a patent in the design of real-time systems, and is a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Sigma Xi, and a Senior Member of the ACM and IEEE.  She is past co-chair of NCWIT's Academic Alliance, and a Councilor for the Math and Computer Science Division of the Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR).  Her highly accomplished mentees have been recognized with two NSF Graduate Research Fellowships and three Google Scholarships, among other honors.

Dr. Morreale holds a B.S. from Northwestern University, a M.S. from the University of Missouri, and a Ph.D. from Illinois Institute of Technology, all in Computer Science.
